چکیده

GP (for Graph Programs) is a rule-based, nondeterministic programming language for solving graph problems at a high level of abstraction, freeing programmers from dealing with low-level data structures. In this case study, we present a graph program which minimizes finite automata. The program represents an automaton by its transition diagram, computes the state equivalence relation, and merges equivalent states such that the resulting automaton is minimal and equivalent to the input automaton. We illustrate how the program works by a running example and argue that it correctly implements the minimization algorithm of Hopcroft, Motwani and Ullman.

A Novel Approach for Detecting Relationships in Social Networks Using Cellular Automata Based Graph Coloring

All the social networks can be modeled as a graph, where each roles as vertex and each relationroles as an edge. The graph can be show as G = [V;E], where V is the set of vertices and E is theset of edges. All social networks can be segmented to K groups, where there are members in eachgroup with same features. In each group each person knows other individuals and is in touch ...

We describe a general technique for the encoding of lexical functions | such as lexical classiication, gender and number marking, innections and conjugations | using minimized acyclic nite-state automata. This technique has been used to store a Portuguese lexicon with over 2 million entries in about 1 megabyte. Unlike general le compression schemes, this representation allows random access to t...

CoMeta Project Workshop Preliminary Version Compositional Minimization in Span(Graph): Some Examples

We study a class of examples of minimizing automata with respect to branching bisimulation in the context of the Span(Graph) model. Compositional minimization is particularly efficient for the class which includes the classical dining philospher problem and variants. The reason for the efficiency is that finite subsets of the class generate finite submonoids of the bisimulation monoid. We indic...

Incremental Construction Of Minimal Acyclic Finite State Automata And Transducers

In this paper, we describe a new method for constructing minimal, deterministic, acyclic finite state automata and transducers. Traditional methods consist of two steps. The first one is to construct atrie, the second one -to perform minimization. Our approach is to construct an automaton in a single step by adding new strings one by one and minimizing the resulting automaton on-the-fly. We pre...
